I made a slight change in the scoring, but it had no effect on the standings. Instead of giving 1 point for the title and 1 point for the artist, I gave 10 points for each. I said that I would give partial credit for partially correct answers. I had intended to give partial credit in increments of 0.1 points; I decided to multiply everything by 10 to simplify the chart below the standings. I originally planned on giving full credit only to answers that were 100% correct. With 10 points to work with, I figured I could give small penalties for very minor errors and give larger penalties for larger errors. I finally decided to be a little more lax -- no penalty for incorrect punctuation or missing articles. Without looking at the record label or a reference book (which would be legal), how would anyone know that "How Do You Do It?" has a question mark, but "Do You Believe In Magic" doesn't? And it seemed picky to penalize someone for correctly punctating "Brown Eyed Girl" as "Brown-Eyed Girl." I did take off for missing or misplaced parentheses, though. After all that, here are the results. It was an extremely close battle for first between Dan Murphy and Laura Eppright. I was extremely impressed with how well they both did (they both got the equivalent of 22 out of 25 right). I was a little disappointed at the number of entries, but I still enjoyed conducting this quiz.
