RESULTS AND ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #197 (Revision 2) After posting the GOLQ197, 3 entrants brought to my attention that they had not been included in the results. For some unexplicable reason, Hotmail must have dropped their entries. Two of those participants had perfect scores! Hmmm... I wonder if that's a coincidence :-) The Coasters, who were the previously announced winners of GOLQ197, have informed me that they've already spent their prize money. So, the "real" winners will have to grin and bear it :-) Anyway, I reworked the results table and the recognition table. Here's the corrected set of results. In the future, if you don't get an acknowledgement from me within a couple days, please follow-up with me to verify I've received it. Or contact one of the other quizmasters and let them know. So, congratulations to RANDY PRICE & PETER MORLEY and THE VILLAGE IDIOTS for their perfect entries. (Well, sort of. I decided not to deduct a half point from Randy for "Everly Brotheers" :-) Congratulations are also in order for THE COASTERS who only missed one tie-breaker and to the teams of REALLY ROCKIN' IN BOSTON, THE DELPHI TRIVIA CLUB, MIKE WEAVER, and the JAMIE LUBIN team for their outstanding entries. GOLQ198 has already been posted. One other unrelated item of possible interest to crossword puzzle fans... Checkout the Boston Globe's on-line crossword puzzle on Saturday, July 5. Theoretically, the author will be someone you recognize. Thanks to all who entered! -- Barry Silk ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- After each score below are two characters representing the two tie-breakers: A "+" indicates a tie-breaker answered correctly; a "-" indicates partial credit; an "x" indicates a totally incorrect guess; a "." indicates no guess.
