RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #200 (GOLQ200)

Congratulations to all for scoring so well on GOLQ 200, the goal of
which was to provide a challenging and entertaining quiz. Many of you
said you enjoyed the quiz, but we could tell immediately after we posted
it that it was far easier than we anticipated. Thinking that using just
three words might be too difficult, we selected as many familiar songs
as possible: all within the top 40, most within the top 10, and many #1's.
Fourteen teams named all twenty five songs, and only minor admin errors
kept the top nine teams from getting perfect scores on all twenty-seven
songs (sorry, folks, I didn't write the rules)...

Most of you likewise identified that the theme pattern we used was to select
one song from each letter of the alphabet, omitting letter "X". I believe
that, once the pattern was recognized, the quiz became that much easier.

#T1) It's All Over Now Baby Blue

Note: From feedback I received on your entries, I learned this song
was more widely covered than I realized at the time I published
the quiz; consequently, I gave full credit to any of four answers:

            - Joan Baez (who was my intended artist) (1967)
Jean O'Shea was the only one who identified this.
            - Judy Collins (though no one chose her for an answer) (1967)
            - The Byrds (1969) from their Ballad of Easy Rider album
            - Bob Dylan (only if you missed T2, because if you got T2 you
should have recognized that, alphabetically, Dylan does not
              fit for T1)

Selling atonal apples
#T2) Cream: Pressed Rat and Warthog (1968)

Note: From Wheels of Fire album
