Subject: CORRECTION(S) to RESULTS and ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz 202 (GOLQ202) Date: 3 Dec 2003 01:41:46 -0000 Message-ID: <20031203014146.20186.qmail@nezumi.pair.com> From: Marc Dashevsky <golq202@golq.org> RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #202 (GOLQ202) Congratulations to Mick Tursky and Jean O'Shea, who make up Across The Boarder, for their perfect score on a difficult quiz. Only tie-breaker #T1 kept the team of Randy Price and Peter Morley from joining them at the top. Even more frustrated must be the third-place Village Idiots, who, of all the entrants (living up to their name?), was the only team to misidentify the title of #02. We also want to acknowledge the fourth-place EJ's & Co., who came within one song of a 500. This quiz had a mean score of 335 and a median score of 359. Rich Ardini will be posting GOLQ203 within the next week or so. Our thanks go out to all who participated. -- Bob Bluestein <bob&egh.com> & Marc Dashevsky <marc&MarcDashevsky.com> Replace all occurrences of "&" in all e-mail addresses with "@". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tie Breaker Scoring Key + after numeric score below indicates a tie-breaker answered correctly. - indicates partial credit. x indicates a totally incorrect guess. . indicates no guess. # on Pos Score ID Name and E-mail address Team Age(s) ---+-----+--+------------------------------------------------------+---+------- 01 500++ AB Across The Boarder <eriador1972&yahoo.com> 2 02 500.+ R1 Randy Price <randypny&aol.com,pmorley&nyc.rr.com> 2 51,34 & Peter Morley 03 490++ VI The Village Idiots <Clete6&aol.com> 5 <52 (Andrew, Andy, Roxie, Doug, Ping) 04 480.+ EJ The EJ's & Co. <brombere&matc.edu> 6 17+ (Ellis, Steve, Kevin, Vinnie, Mitch, Kyra) 05 461.+ DW Dennis Wilholt <bobcows&sbcglobal.net> 1 54 06 459.+ EQ L'Equipe <webd&ncf.ca> 6 Avg. 50 (Peter & Sheila Cussons, Bob & Dee Harrold, Margaret Thomas and Denis Menard) 07 420..
