RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #205 (GOLQ205)

Congratulations to all for again scoring so well on a NAVAIRHEADS quiz,
this time on GOLQ 205, our second minimum-lyric quiz. Our goal was to
make this quiz a bit more difficult than our last one by not including
as many top hits. With the exception of our three intentional
"stumpers," the quiz proved no more difficult for you than our previous
one, and we had a cluster of ties in the top ten. Ron Anderson "topped
the charts" with a 480, missing just one. Randy and Peter, Across the
Boarder, and Really Rockin' In Boston came in a three way tie for second
at 460. We thought song #9 was going to be a complete stumper until
RRIB came in at the eleventh hour and nailed it. Most everyone fared
well on the non-stumpers.

We hope everyone had fun and we look forward to our next quiz.

The secret way you hold my hand
#01) Anka, Paul: (All of a Sudden) My Heart Sings (1958/59) [15] {-}

Touch your face, your hands
#02) Association, The: Cherish (1966) [1] {-}

Finger pies

    Note: Not Petula's biggest hit, but my (Tom) favorite of hers.
          Written by Charlie Chaplin, from the movie COUNTESS OF HONG KONG.
          Always wanted to see the movie to hear how it was done in the
          movie; could never find the movie on video.

Bulldog Drummond
#06) Coasters, The: Searchin' (1957) [3] {1}

Pretty pretty pretty pretty
#11) Holly, Buddy: Peggy Sue (1957) [3] {2}

    Note: One point deduction for adding the Crickets along with Buddy
          Holly because, though the Crickets may have performed on the
          song, they were not listed on the label. Buddy Holly is listed
          as a solo artist.

    Note: Remake of the 1959 Coasters hit . . . I, along with a couple
