RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #395 (GOLQ395)

Congratulations to Really Rockin' In Boston, James White, Virve Harkonen,
Village Idiots, the EJ Team, the Delphi Trivia Club, and Will McCorry, all of
whom tied for first with perfect scores. Really Rockin' was the first to submit
a perfect score.

Those who figured out the theme, songs that were #1 in Great Britain, fared
better than those that didn't (go figure). The average score was 397.3.

Thanks to everyone who entered. GOLQ #396 has been posted.

GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #395 ANSWERS:
Answers are in the form:

#number) Artist: "Title" (chart year) [peak Pop] {peak R&B} <xxx>...<yyy>
where:
"peak Pop" = Peak position achieved on the weekly Billboard Pop chart.
"peak R&B" = Peak position on the weekly Billboard Rhythm & Blues chart.
(Billboard didn't publish an R&B chart between 11/30/63 and 1/23/65,
so recordings in that interval show peak R&B of {n/c} ("no chart").)
"xxx",...,"yyy" = prior GOLQ(s) in which the song appeared, if any.

noticed 10 of the 15 that entered this quiz also submitted entries on that

You're obsolete, my baby
#T1) Farlowe, Chris: "Out Of Time" (1966) [-] {-}

QM: A long overdue GOLQ shout-out to Chris, the British rock, blues and soul
singer who seemingly sang every 60s song and with every 60s act. He has still
been performing the last few years, with the likes of Van Morrison and Georgie
Fame. This song was featured in its entirety in the recent Tarantino movie Once
Upon A Time..In Hollywood, with essentially a hybrid of the Stones and Farlowe
versions (Mick's voice, music from Chris's recording).

Love is just like a merry-go-round

the contest that year with this song.
