RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #437 (GOLQ437)

Congratulations to Village Idiots, the only team to correctly identify all 27
songs in the quiz, and to the multiple teams that came very close to also doing
so. Evidently, this quiz was not as difficult as I had stated in my
introductory remarks. Really Rockin' In Boston was the only team to accurately
identify the theme (if others identified it, they did not indicate so), which
was my farewell message as a quizmaster, found by reading downward the first
letter of every song title. Vitos correctly identified the general memory
theme. The song which offered a clue to the theme was Elvis's, "Memories." My
tribute song, unrelated to the theme, was, "Early Morning Rain," composed by the
late, great Gordon Lightfoot, who passed away recently on May 1, 2023 at age 84.
An inadvertent tribute, brought to my attention by Howard, is "Try To Remember,"
sung by Ed Ames, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at age 95. RIP to both of
these outstanding artists.

I appreciate everyone who entered, and a special thank you to Rick "THE Falk"
Falkenstein, my longtime friend and former partner in the world famous
NAVAIRHEADS, who surprised me with a spontaneous last-minute commemorative entry
for my swansong as a Quiz Master. As I stated in my theme, "Thanks, GOLQ, for
all the memories!".

Howard Teitelbaum has already posted GOLQ #438.
