Welcome Golden Oldies Fans!

[We have a guest author for GOLQ106. This quiz was written by Len Ellis
 of 'The 33 1/3 LPs' team.  Since Len has no Internet access, I have
 volunteered to administer it for him (and abstain from taking it).  Len
 has incorporated a theme in this quiz and notes that the majority of
 the songs charted in the top 40.  One of the tie-breakers extends past
 1969.  Note: If you thought my quiz was hard, wait until you try this
 one... this quiz should provide quite a challenge for everyone! -- Barry]

Try to e-mail early since you can't be sure of how long it will take your
message to arrive.

I will acknowledge via e-mail receipt of all entries. 

If you do not have the official GOLQ Rules (a posted copy of the
rules should follow a posted copy of this quiz on most sites), then
you may retrieve them via anonymous ftp from the remote directory
bobcat.bbn.com:/pub/golq/FAQ in the file "rules".  If you do not
know how to or cannot use ftp to get these rules, please contact me
for assistance.
