GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #202 (GOLQ202)

Welcome to GOLQ202, a hodgepodge of songs of different genres with no theme
to tie them together. Some are easy and some are quite difficult and some
are neither. Most of the songs have been used in previous GOLQs, but what
else can one expect after 201 quizzes?

Blindly searching for lyrics on the Internet is not in the spirit
of the GOLQs, and we disapprove of this practice.

The web site for the Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz is at <http://golq.org>.
There you will find:

  - the GOLQ rules <http://golq.org/rules.html>
  - instructions for subscribing to the GOLQ mailing list
  - the current quiz <http://golq.org/current.html>
  - an archive of past quizzes and results <http://golq.org/archive.html>

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometime you'll have to cry
Sometime you'll have to lie
You're gonna live until you die
#01)

The movement you need is on your shoulder
#02)

We're after the same rainbow's end
#03)

As I walk through this world
#04)

Please stop doin' the things you're doin'
I know we can get along
Your luck will run out one day, you'll see
And then your lovin' heart will belong to me
#05)

'Cause you cheated (cheated) cheated (cheated) cheated (cheated)
Cheated on me, girl
Yes, you told me a whole lot of lies
#06)

There'll be a time when I may fail
I'll need your love to comfort me
Bitter days may prevail
But just a kiss from you will make them sweet
#07)

I've got a love so true
And yet I'm sad and blue
#08)

You don't know, you don't know how much I care
You don't know the torch I bear
#09)

And after all the loves of my life
Oh, after all the loves of my life
I'll be thinking of you
And wondering why
#10)

Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same
#11)

Although I know you are gone
Memories still linger on
From your love I'll never be free
You'll always be a part of me
#12)

I'll be your love 'til the end ('til the end of) of ('til the end of) time
#13)

Let me tell you something, baby, I'm gonna give you some good news
Look a-here, sweet mama, let's burn off both our shoes
#14)

Well, in a villa, in a little old I-talian town
#15)

Hold me close and say you're mine
With a love as warm as wine
I'm at heaven's door
#16)

How I long to feel your touch
(How I yearn for your touch)
Why'd you go, why'd you stray
(Why'd you go, why'd you stray)
When I love you oh so much?
(When I love you so much?)
#17)

Give a dog a bone
This old man came rolling home
#18)

I can't find the words to tell you
Just how much I really love you
If you feel the same way I do
You will know the love I have here for you
#19)

Is there a secret you can tell everyone?
Do you know more than men that are wise?
Can you see what we all must disguise
Through your loving eyes?
#20)

I got a brand new suit, a new pair of shoes
You can't lose, now, with the stuff I use
Baby, help me to spend this dough
Well, I'm all dressed up, ain't got no place to go
#21)

I make it all right
From Monday morning to Friday night
#22)

Oh, my sweet Marie
I wait at your ease
#23)

Don't go along for the ride
Keep some semblance of pride
There's really nothing else you can do
#24)

The hors d'oeuvres were fine
But I choked on my wine
When I learned that the main course was me
#25)

------------
Tie-Breakers
------------
She's knock-kneed and bowlegged
She's pigeon-toed and lame
Oh my darling, oh my darling, darling, darling
I love you just the same
#T1)

I know just how to treat you
And make you love me strong
I never loved anyone else
And you taught me right from wrong
Yes, it's you
Yes, it's you
And I will always love you
So if you want me
#T2)
