I began this quiz with a theme idea but had to add some songs that don't fit the theme in order to cover certain time periods and portions of the alphabet. These songs, including the tie-breakers, are from the 1956-1969 timespan. I used only recordings that were in my collection so that I wouldn't make the mistake of putting in lyrics I know from a different rendition of a song that turn out not to be part of the one I'm including in the quiz. I hope that none of the songs I chose were represented in my collection as an album or alternate version from which I chose lyrics that weren't part of the hit single. Have fun!
