GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #326 (GOLQ326)

Welcome to GOLQ-326, a wide mix of song styles representing all the years
within the GOLQ range. GOLQ326 has no specific theme, although I "auto"
mention that there is a unique sequence which could prove helpful on a
couple of the stumpers.

                       Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #326
               Recordings #01-25 were from 1955 through 1969
             Due 5:00 p.m. EDT (GMT-4), Monday, March 31, 2014
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Around the corner every day
We would meet and slip away
But we were much too young
To love each other this way
#01)

I think you better go now
I'm gettin' mighty mad
You ask me to give up
The only love I've ever had
#02)

Who finds the money when you pay the rent
Did you think that money was heaven sent
#03)

When you say that you'll keep a date
Then you show up two hours late
#04)

Make a cool daddy-o
When I put 'em on, I'm a-rarin' to go
#05)

And warm, so warm in my arms
#06)

You brag that I like everything you do
You put salt in my wound
You're sad but it's true
#07)

Oh, my darling
Do you tell them
Little secrets
That you shouldn't
#08)

After a while, I'm myself again
I pick the pieces off the floor
Put my heart on the shelf again
He'll never hurt me anymore
#09)

May your days, may your days, may your days
Be merry and bright
#10)

No day or night goes by
When I don't have my cry
I feel like I could die
From wanting you
#11)

Well, what there ain't
That's what she be
And even that's
Way too much for me
#12)

Is worth the pain if I have you
So if you love me let me know
But if you don't please let me go
#13)

Lesson one, hold me tight
Lesson two, lips stay close to mine
Lesson three, study as you go
Lesson four, you'll be mine
#14)

My heart is a prisoner
Of your warm embrace
I can't help, can't help myself
Nothing can take your place
#15)

I don't even know how to hold your hand
Just to make you understand
#16)

Well, I ain't braggin'
It's understood
Everything I do
Well, I sure do it good
#17)

Oh, I know, you can't buy love
If you're rich with diamond and gold
But heartaches will come around freely
And knock on anybody's door
#18)

I'm at peace
In the web of your arms
#19)

Each night as I go wondering
Down the street of tears
I think about the love we shared
Throughout our teenage years
#20)

She's a high-footing baby
There ain't no dance she couldn't do
She's my groovy little baby
#21)

I prayed to the Lord
To send me a love
He sent me an angel from heaven above
The stars in the sky
He placed in her eyes
#22)

Do-be-do-be-do
#23)

My only prayer will be
Someday you'll care for me
#24)

Love has waited such a long time
Now we're a kiss apart
Darling, this is the right time
To let the kisses start
#25)

------------
Tie-Breakers
------------

I'll follow your dream
Do you know what I mean, yeah
I'll follow you wherever time will take me to
Forever I'll be one with you
One with you
One with you
#T1)

Maybe I'm a rolling stone
Who won't amount to much
But everything that I hold dear
Is close enough to touch
#T2)
