So, there I was basking in the sun on my back porch while eating a Mars Bar and a Moon Pie[Diabetes be damned!]; then I suddenly realized it was time to create GOLQ 444. "Heavens Above" I shouted and reached for my keyboard, and thus GOLQ 444 was born. This is a hybrid quiz again, that is it contains both textual and audio snippets of songs. At first glance, you may think this one is difficult. While the date range for these songs is 1956 to 1969 a large number of them were probably first heard on a radio that contained vacuum tubes. About half the regular songs are new to a GOLQ. BUT - there is a theme (all 27 songs) which you will determine early on. (You may have discovered it already!) The theme is kind of wide ranging and in some cases it is a bit contrived by being parts of other words. The audio snippets will probably tickle the recesses of your oldies memory. And "here's another clue for you all"; T2 is pretty obscure but it is present in an audio format and continues my homage to Pittsburgh, PA area music of the 60's. You can listen to the audio snippets individually or download them as a zip file at: http://golq.org/Clips/GOLQ444/GOLQ444.zip Entries are due Due 5:00 PM EST (GMT-5) on Wednesday January 31,2024 Best wishes to all for a happy and prosperous 2024. Have fun everybody.
